What are Paraguay's objectives for WTM Latin America?

We're coming to WTM with all of Paraguay's tourism offerings: nature, culture, crafts, and gastronomy. We seek to showcase our customs and traditions through artistic expressions such as Paraguayan dance, which will have a prominent place at our stand. We're also joined by the private sector: two hotel companies, two operators, and travel agencies that support us in promoting the destination.

What are your prospects for the remainder of the year and what are your next steps?

One of our main objectives is to forge partnerships during the event. We're focused on organizing familiarization trips (fam tours) with operators in the region, especially from strategic markets like Brazil. We want them to experience key destinations like Asunción, Encarnación, and Ciudad del Este, so they can include them in their tour packages and thus contribute to greater visibility for Paraguay as a destination.

How does regional connectivity influence the development of Paraguayan tourism?

Connectivity is a key factor. Today, we have direct flights to Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, which facilitates the arrival of tourists. In the case of Brazil, we work with several airlines that connect Paraguay with major cities. One of the most recent additions is Azul Linhas Aéreas, which connects us with Curitiba and Recife. At Senatur, we actively promote these types of connections because they are essential for the growth of inbound tourism.

Paraguay's cultural identity is always present at these events. What can visitors expect from your stand at this edition?

The Paraguay stand offers a comprehensive showcase of our culture. There will be food tastings, craft exhibits, and artistic presentations. We will also share our traditions through tereré, an emblem of Paraguayan identity. In addition, we will have promotional materials available to help visitors learn more about our tourism offerings.
