A successful and crowded 16th edition of the MSC Sales Academy, as part of MSC Cruises´ 30th anniversary in Latin America

Buenos Aires, April 15, 2025 – The 16th edition of the MSC Sales Academy, the most important training and networking event for the tourism industry in the region, took place from March 30 to April 6 aboard the imposing MSC Meraviglia . This edition was especially significant as it coincided with the celebration of MSC Cruises' 30th anniversary in Latin America.


Nearly 300 travel agents from more than 14 countries will participate in this unique experience, which departed from the iconic city of New York. During the voyage, attendees were able to enjoy the MSC Meraviglia 's first-class facilities , its outstanding culinary offering, and the multicultural atmosphere that characterizes MSC, experiencing firsthand the company's distinctive service.


Throughout the week, numerous activities focused on training, integration, team building , and fun took place. These included recreational activities and special recognition for the most outstanding agents, who received prizes such as passes to the MSC Aurea Spa, a Fun Pass to enjoy onboard attractions (F1 simulator, 4D cinema, bowling, flight simulator), and exclusive spots to participate in the next edition of the event in 2026.


The training sessions include presentations on MSC Cruises' corporate vision, updates on international destinations, the exclusive MSC Yacht Club, and the MSC Group's newest luxury brand: Explora Journeys.


Some of the sessions were led by Master of Science Paulo Baldessari, who presented his innovative approach to “From Storytelling to Storydoing ,” actively engaging participants in an immersive experience.


The event was attended by prominent MSC executives, including Javier Massignani (Country Manager), Pablo Laudonia (Sales Manager), María Lucía Parera and Julio De Vito (Commercial Supervisors for Argentina and Latin America), and commercial executives Josefina Quiroga (Argentina) and Karem Nova (Colombia). Also participating were Luca Matola (Executive Director for Mexico and Latin America) and Gian Filippo Costa (Head of Onboard Cruise Sales), who highlighted the strategic importance of the event in MSC's growth in the region.


Also on the staff was Fernando Pérez, commercial director of Europ Assistance, who gave a presentation on the features and benefits of their products.


The meeting concluded with a closing cocktail party, where MSC Cruises representatives shared words of gratitude in an atmosphere of celebration, camaraderie, and renewed commitment to the industry.
