Buenos Aires, April 2025 – Minor Hotels, a global hotel owner and operator with more than 560 hotels in 58 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and the Americas, has announced the arrival of its Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brand in Mexico for the first time, specifically in the city of Mérida, known as the White City. Scheduled for early 2027, the launch of Tivoli Mérida Residences, comprised of 69 private residences, will mark Tivoli's first project in Mexico and its third in Latin America, where the brand already has two hotels in Brazil.

This new five-star resort will be located in the Paseo Montejo area, the main thoroughfare of Mérida, the capital of the state of Yucatán, which was recently named “Best Destination in Mexico” at the Food & Travel Reader Awards. Famous for its colonial architecture and vibrant traditions, Mérida is a city rich in history and culture, also known for its hospitality and for being the financial center of the Yucatán Peninsula. Recently, Mérida has established itself as a major tourist destination, attracting travelers from around the world looking to explore its archaeological wonders, delight in its gastronomy, and immerse themselves in its lively cultural scene.

Twenty minutes from Mérida International Airport, the property, which will be marketed as a hotel, will feature 69 private residences, a restaurant, an outdoor pool with a bar, a luxury shop, a gym, a spa, gardens, and a courtyard. The project is part of the Casona 333 complex, a beautiful 1903 residence listed as a historical monument that has been carefully restored to house the main reception, restaurant, bakery, bar, piano lounge, and some of the common services, as well as a beautiful garden and an intimate courtyard for private events.

This new development will be owned by Designia, a leading real estate developer with extensive knowledge of southeastern Mexico and operating landmark projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, tourism, and mixed-use sectors.
