Represented by Imaginadora's public relations team, under the guidance of Flávia Perin, the American capital showed that it goes far beyond political corridors: it is a lively, diverse city, full of culture, award-winning cuisine and accessible green areas.

100 free museums and 24 Michelin-starred restaurants

Contrary to popular belief, Washington DC is not only the center of American power, but also an unparalleled cultural destination. The city offers free admission to around 100 museums — all of which are part of the Smithsonian network — including icons such as the National Air and Space Museum and the National Gallery of Art. In terms of gastronomy, the city shines with more than 24 Michelin-starred restaurants, reflecting its multicultural population. “You can find everything from haute cuisine to authentic Ethiopian flavors,” explains Perin.

Cherry blossoms and parks just a few steps away

Between March and April, the city transforms into a pink spectacle as cherry blossoms bloom — a historic gift from Japan to the United States. The event is celebrated with parades, concerts and outdoor activities. And Washington doesn't stop there: with more than 2,000 hectares of green areas and parks like Rock Creek Park, 99% of residents live within 10 minutes of a green area, which reinforces the urban commitment to quality of life and well-being.

DC prepared for the future

Washington DC is also an example of urban mobility: efficient subways, free shuttle buses and a bike-sharing system make the city accessible and easy to explore. Flat and well-signposted, it is ideal for visitors who want to get around independently. For the LGBTQIA+ community, Washington is even more special: 14% of the population identifies as part of the community, the highest rate among US cities.

Getting there is easy, and the experience is memorable.

Brazilians can fly directly to Washington DC with United Airlines or make quick connections via Panama with Copa Airlines, without having to go through immigration in the United States during the connection. In addition, there are direct and indirect connections with several capitals in the Americas, making the city accessible and strategic for international tourism.

At IMM Brazil, Washington proved that it is much more than politics: it is culture, it is diversity, it is green, it is movement. It is a capital designed for all types of travelers.
