Santo Domingo . Arajet, the Dominican Republic's flagship airline, conducted an accessibility consultancy in collaboration with Travelgali and the renowned Open Doors Organization (ODO) with the goal of offering a more inclusive and higher-quality service to people with disabilities.
This strategic collaboration aims to train its staff to assist wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility, reaffirming Arajet's commitment to inclusion and accessibility in their travel experience.
A group of leaders representing Arajet's Customer Service and Operations teams received specialized training, allowing them to obtain certification as CROs (Customer Service Representatives with Disability Knowledge). This staff is trained to manage disputes, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide comprehensive support to passengers with disabilities.
According to Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, with this alliance and tripartite formation, "We reaffirm our commitment to providing safety, comfort, and security to all our passengers, regardless of their specific needs. This joint effort with Travelgali and Open Doors Organization not only improves the quality of service we offer, but also marks an important step in our mission to provide our passengers with world-class service."
During the theoretical and practical training, experts from Open Doors Organization and Travelgali evaluated service and boarding procedures to improve the experience for passengers with reduced mobility. These included direct assistance techniques and accessibility protocols, seeking to offer a safer and more comfortable travel experience for all travelers.
This effort not only improves the airline's service quality, but also reinforces Travegali and the Open Doors Organization's mission to make the travel industry more accessible to everyone, so that all people with reduced mobility can book their travel and stay knowing the key accessibility features and make an informed decision.
