Located more than 600 meters above sea level, El Valle de Antón is a unique destination in Panama, both for its volcanic geography and its natural and cultural richness. Surrounded by mountains and basking in a temperate climate year-round, this destination attracts local and international visitors.

Climate and Outdoor Activities
Located in a mountainous setting, El Valle de Antón offers a temperate climate that invites you to enjoy nature and tranquility. Its flower-filled streets and green landscapes make it an ideal place to explore on foot or by bicycle, whether conventional or electric.

The valley's geography makes it a prime destination for hiking. Among its main trails is the 30-kilometer Caldera Route, which can be explored in sections, including El Cara Iguana, La Silla, the iconic Indian Dormida, and El Gaital, one of the highest points at over 1,000 meters above sea level.

For those seeking a touch of adrenaline, activities such as ziplining, rappelling, and downhill biking are also offered.

Fauna and Flora:
The Antón Valley is recognized as a natural sanctuary. It is one of the few habitats in the world for the golden frog, the emblematic species of the region, and is home to more than 300 species of birds. The butterfly farm, the serpentarium, and the petting farm allow you to experience some of this biodiversity up close. Also of note are the orchidarium and the nursery. The local market offers organic products and handmade crafts.

Gastronomy
The Valley's culinary offerings are broad and diverse. The presence of European immigrants has influenced the variety of dishes available, with options from Spanish, Italian, and other culinary traditions. Additionally, you can find exclusive gastronomic experiences from renowned chefs, as well as authentic Panamanian flavors in local restaurants, markets, cafes, and bakeries.

Access
From Panama City, you can reach the Anton Valley by taking the Inter-American Highway to the town of Las Uvas (about two hours from the city), where a signposted detour leads directly to the destination, after approximately 45 additional minutes of travel.

It's also possible to get there by public transport. From the Albrook Grand Transport Terminal, buses depart for El Valle de Antón from platform 48, approximately every 30 minutes.
