The Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) and the National Lottery unveiled the ticket for Special Draw No. 299, commemorating the 2025 Tourist Fair.

“Just as a lottery ticket represents dreams, the Mexican Tourist Market holds the collective dreams of the millions of people who make a living from tourism and who see in each visitor the opportunity to continue prospering, in a shared way,” declared Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism of the Mexican Government.

He emphasized the importance of issuing this ticket to the celebration of a unique Tourist Market, which, among other innovations, is the first to be held in locations in two countries.

He added that from April 26 to May 3, Baja California, Mexico, and California, United States, will become the epicenter of tourism, as activities will be integrated on both sides of the border, such as the "Window to Mexico" festival in San Diego, California.

Rodríguez Zamora emphasized that this Tourism Fair will bring together the 32 states of the Mexican Republic, organized into regional pavilions, with an estimated 70,000 business meetings; the participation of more than 1,500 buyers; and more than 1,035 companies from 43 countries, 40 percent of which come from the United States and Canada, a historic figure. A daily influx of 10,000 people is also expected, generating an estimated economic impact of 1.38 billion pesos.

For her part, the general director of the National Lottery, Olivia Salomón, emphasized that the commemorative ticket features two national symbols: the institution of luck and the Tianguis Turístico (Tianguis Turístico), to "showcase the soul of our country, promote its development, and strengthen the pride of being Mexican." She also explained that the ticket promotes tourism identity and is a recognition of the sector that keeps tourism alive.

"The fact that the 2025 Mexico Tourism Tianguis is represented on a National Lottery ticket supports the message that tourism is not only an economic priority, but a strategic axis of the national project led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who has clearly stated that Mexico is in fashion around the world and everyone wants to come and visit Mexico," he stated.

Recalling that the National Lottery is a 255-year-old institution, Olivia Salomón said that the distribution of lottery tickets raises the profile of the Tourist Market at the institution's sales outlets around the country, and they are already on sale at alegrialoteria.com.

The National Lottery joins the biggest tourism celebration in the Americas with the issuance of 2.4 million tickets for Special Draw No. 299, featuring five different designs that invite you to continue exploring the diversity, tourism segments, and magic of Mexico.

Special Draw No. 299 features a Grand Prize of 27 million pesos across two series and a distributable prize pool of 80 million pesos. It will be held on May 13 at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the National Lottery's YouTube channel, Traditional Draws.

The event was attended by Sebastián Ramirez Mendoza, Undersecretary of Tourism; Christian Leslie García Romero, head of the Tourism Innovation, Sustainability, and Professionalization Unit of Sectur; José de Jesús Quiñones Ramírez, Undersecretary of Tourism of Baja California; and other industry representatives.
