This year alone, LATAM plans to open the lounge at Lima's Jorge Chávez Airport, with an investment of US$10.5 million, and the design of the new space in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo, with an investment of US$18 million and the goal of opening in 2027. Additionally, at the end of February, LATAM began remodeling its lounge at El Dorado International Airport and, in the coming years, plans to open an extension at Miami Airport (United States).

"The new infrastructure, which reinforces our commitment to offering more sophisticated and welcoming spaces, will be in line with what has existed in Santiago since 2022, with more modern and comfortable representative sectors of South America, embracing the architecture, culture, hospitality, and elements of the country in which they are located," said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.

The executive added that LATAM Lounges are already globally recognized for their innovative design, service, and distinctive comfort. "This is another step toward consolidating LATAM as a global benchmark in premium experiences," he concluded.

The Peru lounge, which will begin operating in the coming months, will have two independent lounges—Signature and Premium—which share a reception area and are located in a 2,450-square-meter area. This new infrastructure is expected to serve more than 24,000 passengers per month by 2026.

Meanwhile, LATAM Airlines Brazil will begin designing the new lounge this year at Terminal 3 of Sao Paulo's Guarulhos Airport, one of its main hubs in the region. It will measure 4,700 square meters and will be the largest in Latin America, surpassing the one in Chile.

In Colombia, the airline is moving forward with the renovation of its lounge, to offer a more comfortable experience to its passengers starting in May. With a capacity of 136 seats and a surface area of 650 square meters, these improvements will require an investment of US$500,000.

The Santiago lounge, for its part, has three lounges: the Signature Lounge, for Black Signature and Black LATAM Pass categories, and LATAM Premium Business cabins; the Premium Lounge, for Platinum LATAM Pass categories or passengers traveling in LATAM Premium Economy cabins; and the WorldMember Lounge, for WorldMember and WorldMember Limited Santander customers. An average of 1,500 people pass through the lounge daily, making it the largest in South America to date.

It's important to note that LATAM currently has lounges for international passengers at five airports in its destination network: in Santiago, Chile, at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport; in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at Guarulhos Airport, Terminal 3; in Bogotá, Colombia, at El Dorado Airport; in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at Ezeiza Airport; and in Miami, United States, for international flights (Concourse J).

Signature check-in

Additionally, and in keeping with its focus on offering spaces that elevate every trip, LATAM recently implemented a frequent flyer check-in area: Signature Check-in. This is an exclusive space for LATAM Pass members in the Black Signature and Black categories (the program's highest loyalty levels), designed to provide greater privacy, agility, and hospitality to elite members traveling to international destinations.

The 24-hour Signature Check-in—along with a similar check-in already operating at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, Brazil—is located in Terminal 2 of Santiago Airport, across from Gate 6, next to Premium Check-in (Island H). It features tablets and portable printers, making check-in faster and easier. With the opening of the new terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, LATAM will also have this exclusive space.

This space enhances the passenger experience at Santiago Airport, where LATAM operates more than 104 daily flights to 14 different countries.
