As part of the international promotion of our country in the United States, and as part of the 2025 Tourism Fair, Secretary of Tourism Josefina Rodríguez Zamora led the inauguration of the San Diego Festival of Mexico, "Window to Mexico."

Accompanied by the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, the head of the Mexican Government's Ministry of Tourism launched the exhibition, which will showcase Mexico's natural, artistic, cultural, artisanal, and gastronomic riches, as well as its diverse tourism, at Liberty Station on April 26 and 27, in a completely free event.

The above, he specified, is part of a series of activations in Baja California, Mexico, and California, United States, to make Tianguis Turístico 2025 the first edition where Mexicans, as well as American tourists, are invited to take part in the celebration of the largest tourism event in the Americas.

She noted that with the presence of 28 Mexican entities, 18 traditional cooks, and 25 artisans, showcasing various products and ancient creation techniques, as well as exhibitions of traditional Mexican dance, attendees will be able to learn more about the vast wealth of our country through its art.

Rodríguez Zamora stated that, with these actions, Mexico reaffirms its commitment to strengthening tourism, trade, and cultural relations between our nation and the United States, in addition to promoting tourism to various national tourist destinations.

He thanked the Mexican Consul General in San Diego, Alicia Kerber-Palma, for her support and commitment to this tourism exhibition, which not only invites people of American origin to visit Mexico, but also "encourages our fellow Mexicans to reconnect with their roots," he commented.

"Mexico doesn't just export products: it shares identity, talent, culture, and deep roots. Therefore, Window to Mexico is a cultural festival of reconnection with those who crossed a geopolitical border but never abandoned their origins," he declared.

In addition, Secretary Josefina Rodríguez and the organizing subcommittees of the 2025 Tourism Tianguis toured the Baja California Center, where they confirmed that everything is ready for the start of the most important tourism convention in the Americas.
