Turkish Airlines improves its Stopover program in Istanbul

This enhancement allows more passengers from eligible departure countries to experience Istanbul with complimentary stays in 5-star hotels for Business Class passengers and 4-star hotels for Economy Class passengers before continuing to their
final destinations.  

Additionally, as an initial phase in select destinations, the airline has expanded its complimentary stopover accommodation offering for passengers traveling from Australia, Canada, Chile, mainland China (PVG, CAN, PEK), Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States. Business Class passengers can now enjoy a three-night stay , up from two, while Economy Class passengers can opt for a two-night stay instead of just one, giving them a broader opportunity to experience Istanbul and all its wonders. This increase in room nights is planned for an additional 15 destinations
throughout 2025 .
 

Since its launch in 2017, the Istanbul Stopover Program has provided more than 221,389 passengers from 91 countries and 235 cities the opportunity to explore the rich culture
and attractions of this historic city during their stopovers. As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing the global travel experience, Turkish Airlines aims to expand the program across its network, allowing even more of its guests
to discover the unique charm of Istanbul, a city that seamlessly bridges Europe and Asia. Turkish Airlines passengers can immerse themselves in the city's iconic landmarks, such as the Ayasofya, the Blue Mosque, Dolmabahçe Palace, and Topkapı Palace,
or enjoy the beauty of the Bosphorus on a scenic boat tour.  

Passengers with layovers of 20 hours or more can request complimentary accommodation at least 72 hours before their flight to include Istanbul in their travel itinerary.
