MIAMI, May 1, 2025 – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that two of its most popular ships, Norwegian Epic and Pride of America, will undergo major renovations ahead of the peak summer season in the Northern Hemisphere.

These improvements are designed to offer passengers more activities, more comfort, and greater flexibility when planning their vacations. New features include a completely renovated children's water park, an exclusive adults-only beach club, new cabins, and the addition of spaces such as Starbucks and pickleball courts.

“Our goal will always be to give guests the freedom to enjoy more of what they love,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Norwegian Epic to make refurbished European debut on May 8
After three weeks in dry dock, Norwegian Epic will return to sea with significant upgrades to its upper deck. There will be a new whirlpool on deck 18, a renovated children's water park, and an expanded Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only area with private cabanas and panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

Additionally, eight new cabins have been added—a combination of balconies and ocean views—and the Mediterranean and Greek island itineraries departing from Rome will continue, visiting destinations such as Santorini, Mykonos, Valletta, and historic Italian cities like Naples and Florence. In November, the ship will return to the Caribbean, basing itself in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Pride of America Gets Refreshed to Continue Hawaii Voyages
Pride of America, the only cruise ship offering seven-day Hawaiian island itineraries year-round, will also be refurbished from May 3-31. Updates include a new Starbucks in the Capitol Atrium, pickleball courts, and new staterooms: 12 club suites with balconies and three interior suites on Deck 12.

Children's and youth spaces such as Splash Academy and Entourage will be relocated to Deck 6, with the addition of a new library and card room.

The ship will resume weekly sailings from Honolulu on May 31, offering more than 100 hours of port stays and overnight stays on Maui and Kauai.

Norwegian Cruise Line continues to champion the "More at Sea" concept, which includes packages with an open bar, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, and shore excursions, with itineraries that reach nearly 350 global destinations. Its fleet of 20 ships includes options for all types of travelers, from single cabins to luxurious suites.
