Baja California.- During the four days of Mexico's most important tourism fair, the Quintana Roo delegation, led by Bernardo Cueto, Secretary of Tourism of the State, representatives of the 12 destinations, and the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council (CPTQ), held strategic working meetings with airlines, tour operators and key business leaders, all with a common goal: to strengthen the arrival of visitors to the Mexican Caribbean and translate the tourist flow into well-being and shared prosperity for the people of Quintana Roo.
Quintana Roo's participation began with a prominent presence at "Ventana a México," the inaugural event in San Diego, California, where its culture was showcased through handcrafted traditional clothing and crafts made by artisans from the state's Mayan region.
Within the framework of the Tianguis, the 37th Meeting of the Mundo Maya Mexico Alliance was also held, with the presence of the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez, where Quintana Roo reiterated its commitment to sustainable tourism development, recognizing the value of cultural and natural heritage and highlighting Maya Ka'an as a benchmark for community tourism.
To close out the festival, the Mexican Caribbean region shone at the "El Gran Taco" festival, where it presented the original "Taco de Escachepe," a traditional dish from the southern part of the state. This culinary creation, created by Bacalar Mayor Chepe Contreras, fuses Yucatecan escabeche with the unique flavors of Bacalar, paying homage to the culinary fusion of Quintana Roo.
With a productive agenda and outstanding participation, Quintana Roo reaffirms its leadership in tourism at the national and international levels, promoting initiatives that foster the comprehensive and sustainable development of the sector.
