What are the reasons and objectives for your participation in the 2025 Tourism Fair?
We have been sponsors and protagonists of the Tianguis Turístico for many years. This fair allows us to reach out to captive customers and many of our commercial partners. Airlines, travel agencies, state governments, and many other companies with whom we actively collaborate participate.
What types of alliances does Hertz Mexico currently maintain?
We have important partnerships with all Mexican airlines, some exclusively. We are also the official rental company for the National Soccer Team, thanks to our collaboration with the Mexican Football Federation. We also work with maestro César Menchaca and his studio on an awareness campaign for ocean conservation. The art we showcase at this fair is made from recycled plastic and provides employment for indigenous communities, promoting our culture in Mexico and around the world.
In which markets do you operate and how old has the company been?
We have been present in the country for over 60 years. We cover the entire Mexican Republic and are the master franchisee for Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty, and Firefly. We are also the GSA (General Sales Agent) for bookings from Mexico to the rest of the world.
Do you work with travel agencies and other distribution channels?
Yes, we work with travel agencies, brokers, state governments, and business partners. It's a broad network that allows us to be present in all market segments.
What types of vehicles does Hertz Mexico offer?
Our fleet ranges from compact cars to full-size vehicles. We renew our vehicles every 14 months to guarantee quality and service, always following Hertz Corporation standards.
What has been the biggest challenge for the company and how did you face it?
The biggest challenge was undoubtedly the pandemic. We didn't lay off anyone during that time. The entire team stayed together, and we diversified: we used our fleet to transport food and medicine. It was a very difficult time, but a rewarding one for us as a company.
What sets them apart from other options on the market?
Our greatest strength is our team. During the pandemic, they demonstrated absolute commitment. We currently hold more than 52% of the daily rental market share in Mexico. We have earned that leadership through hard work and dedication.
Do you actively participate in other international fairs?
Yes, we are present at trade fairs such as FITUR in Madrid, ITB in Berlin, WTM in London, ANATO in Colombia, and FIT in Argentina, as well as the Tianguis Turístico in Mexico.
What other promotional strategies are you implementing?
In addition to our commercial alliances, we are leaders in the replacement car rental segment in Mexico, working with insurance companies and automakers. In fact, we recently signed an agreement with a prestigious global insurance company.
Are there any new developments or initiatives you would like to highlight?
Yes. We are the official rental agency of the Mayan World, an initiative that spans five Mexican states and five countries in the region. We are also the only rental agency in Latin America and Mexico certified to measure carbon emissions.
We have programs to mitigate this impact through carbon offsets, and we allow our customers to contribute as well.
Additionally, we are developing new initiatives to clean up oceans and beaches on the Yucatán Peninsula and continue promoting Mexican culture globally.
Anything else you'd like to share with our readers?
We are very proud to be part of the 2025 Tourism Fair. Beyond doing business, we seek to make a positive impact on the environment, our culture, and responsible tourism in Mexico and around the world.
