On April 29 and 30, Atmósfera Chile brought together operators, agents, and hotel representatives in São Paulo at the elegant Trio Pergolado of the Berrini ONE Building, for a truly immersive experience of Chilean tourism. With business roundtables, sensory experiences, and networking, the event brought Brazilian trade closer to iconic Chilean destinations, from cosmopolitan Santiago to remote Patagonia.

Santiago as a distribution center
With its strategic location and comprehensive infrastructure, Santiago remains the starting point for Brazilian tourists seeking snow and culture. Mauro Magnani, general manager of Torremayor Hotels and Apartments, highlighted the tradition of his projects:

“We have two four-star hotels in Santiago, with 100 and 84 rooms. We've been working with the Brazilian market for years, especially during the snow season. The locations are prime, close to the subway and shopping centers. Guests combine urban stays with visits to vineyards and ski resorts,” he explained.

With a welcoming approach, the hotels welcome couples, families, and, more recently, young Brazilians in their 30s and 40s seeking a complete experience in the Chilean capital.

Southern Patagonia – Australis Hotels
In the far south of Chile, Patagonia is consolidating its position as a dream destination. Aracy Vega De Paula, head of sales for the Australis Hotels chain, presented the iconic resorts of Cabo de Hornos (Punta Arenas) and Costa Australis (Puerto Natales), highlighting the growing interest of the Brazilian public:

“Puerto Natales saw a 20% increase in the number of Brazilians. The city offers excellent value and proximity to Torres del Paine National Park, in addition to a rich cultural and culinary scene.”

With historic architecture, Andean views, and high-end services, the hotels attract tourists seeking authentic experiences and comfort at the end of the world.

Exclusivity at Lago Grey
For those seeking total immersion in nature, the Hotel Lago Grey offers 60 rooms in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. According to César Sepúlveda, assistant commercial manager, Brazil is the hotel's main South American market:

"Our challenge is to fill the fall and winter. Brazilians love the cold, the snow, and the fullest experiences. We offer all-inclusive packages, including transportation, meals, and excursions."

The strategic location also allows for connections to Argentina and easy access from Puerto Natales. Sailing through the fjords and penguin watching are among the activities offered.

The Versatility of Cumbres Hotels
Viviana Sauma, tourism manager for the Cumbres Hotels chain, presented three distinct experiences within its portfolio.
In the north, the Cumbres San Pedro stands out as the largest hotel in the Atacama Desert, with 60 rooms, a spa, and an event space. In Santiago, the Cumbres Lastarria offers boutique charm in a historic neighborhood of the capital. Meanwhile, the DoubleTree by Hilton, also managed by the chain, caters to both corporate and leisure travelers, with 225 rooms.

"We are in strategic regions, with options ranging from adventure tourism to urban culture. And we continue to rely on Brazil as a key partner for all these operations," Sauma stated.

Rodrigo Bravo, manager of the Loberías del
Sur chain, emphasized the natural appeal of the Aysén region, located between Magallanes and Los Lagos. The chain's hotel serves as a base for exploring fjords, glaciers, and the famous San Rafael Lagoon.

"With programs ranging from three to seven nights, we include exclusive excursions and experiences. Air connectivity and growing interest among Brazilians make Aysén a promising destination."

Whether in the snow of Torres del Paine, in the urban life of Santiago, or under the stars of the desert, Chilean hospitality is ready to welcome tourists this snowy season.
