Luis Alejandro Dávila will assume the Vice Presidency of Tourism at ProColombia

With a solid track record in tourism management and international training, Dávila will lead Colombia's global promotion strategy as a sustainable and competitive tourist destination

ProColombia announced the appointment of Luis Alejandro Dávila as its new Vice President of Tourism. He will be responsible for consolidating the country's image as an attractive destination for the international market, with an emphasis on sustainability, inclusion, and regional development.

Dávila has an outstanding background in tourism: she holds a degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Nantes (France) and a master's degree in International Tourism Development Economics from the Sorbonne University in Paris. Her experience spans initiatives in the public and academic sectors, including the management of the Santa Marta Convention Bureau, the founding of an international tourism school in Colombia, and the academic coordination of graduate programs focused on sustainability at the University of Magdalena.

In his new position, he will seek to strengthen the five strategic pillars defined by ProColombia: sustainability, decentralization, air connectivity, formalization, and digitalization. His arrival coincides with a key moment for strengthening meeting tourism and diversifying tourism products that respond to the new demands of the global market.

With this appointment, ProColombia reaffirms its commitment to positioning the country as a regional leader in responsible, high-value tourism.
