When the snow melts, Park City reveals a new version of itself: vibrant, colorful and full of life. Located just 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, the city that is synonymous with winter excellence also delivers amazing summers and autumns amid the Wasatch Mountains. Between June and September, there is no shortage of activities for all types of travelers: epic trails, mountain biking, cultural festivals and extreme adventures amid breathtaking scenery.

If the idea is to explore the landscapes on two wheels, the traveler has two choices: board one of the electric bikes available at different points to discover the surroundings of the city or venture up the mountain. Park City Mountain and Deer Valley lifts operate in the summer for easy access to legendary trails, with courses for all skill levels and also accessible on foot.

The city boasts the title of the world's first Gold Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Bicycling Association, offering over 700 kilometers of trails for pedestrians and cyclists. And after your workout, there's no shortage of good places to recharge your batteries: restaurants like Silver Star Café, Five5eeds and Twisted Fern are must-stops for those who value good food combined with the mountain lifestyle.

At Utah Olympic Park, you can watch the incredible Flying Aces show, featuring aerial acrobatics that defy gravity and make the audience vibrate. Do you want to feel part of the action? Try summer bobsledding (pictured)! On the same track used during the 2002 Winter Olympics, visitors can experience the unique sensation of gliding at extremely high speeds, surrounded by spectacular scenery. It is worth remembering that Park City is the only resort in the USA (and one of only three in the world) that allows tourists to experience this emotion on an Olympic track.

Park City also offers a variety of water activities that provide fun and relaxation for all types of visitors. The Provo and Weber Rivers are ideal for adventures such as rafting, kayaking and tubing, with options for beginners and families, as well as for more experienced whitewater enthusiasts. For a more peaceful experience, the area’s lakes and reservoirs, such as East Canyon Reservoir, offer calm waters that are perfect for stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Local companies organize guided tours that combine sports and nature contemplation, providing unforgettable moments amidst the stunning scenery.

Art and culture hub

But Park City doesn’t just shine in its adventure offerings. Between June and September, the city comes alive with an intense schedule of events. From June 13 to 15, cultural diversity is celebrated with the lively Latino Arts Festival, bringing together art exhibits, workshops, traditional dances and Latin cuisine to add even more color to the city, starting at the Canyons Village Stage on Park City Mountain. The program on the 13th will be entirely dedicated to Brazil, with musical performances by the groups Aquarela do Brasil, Salt Lake Capoeira and Brazuca Band, among others.

Set to kick off July 3, the renowned Deer Valley Music Festival features exciting performances by the Utah Symphony and special guests Common, Lindsey Stirling and The Beach Boys at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Packing summer nights starting July 29, the Deer Valley® Concert Series features artists including Maren Morris and new acts to be announced soon.

Another highly anticipated event is the Kimball Arts Festival, which will celebrate its 56th edition in 2025, from August 1 to 3. Held on charming Main Street, the festival brings together 200 artists, representing artistic expressions such as ceramics, painting, sculpture and photography. In addition to the exhibitions, the event offers live music, educational activities and dining options, creating a vibrant atmosphere that attracts both collectors and families looking for entertainment. Proceeds from the festival support the Kimball Art Center's programs throughout the year, reinforcing the city's commitment to promoting the arts.

In Park City, the appetite for adventure is as great as the appetite for good food — and in summer, the mountains also serve up unforgettable feasts celebrating the region's rich cuisine. One of the highlights is Savor the Summit, known as Utah's largest outdoor dinner, which this year will be celebrated on June 28. On this occasion, Main Street transforms into a busy open-air banquet, with a special menu from local restaurants and live music.

On September 13 and 14, the acclaimed Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival invites visitors to sample craft beers amidst music and mountain flavors. For wine and food enthusiasts, the Park City Wine Festival is a must-see. This event brings together more than 100 wineries, breweries, distilleries and culinary artisans, offering tastings, wine pairings and unique dining experiences at various locations throughout the city from October 2 to 4.

Additionally, the Park Silly Sunday Market takes place on select Sundays throughout the summer, transforming Main Street into an open-air marketplace featuring food stalls, artisanal goods, live music and family-friendly activities. Each event reinforces the laid-back, welcoming and vibrant essence that makes Park City an unforgettable destination even in the snowless months.
