From April 28th to May 1st, the Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PROMPERÚ) participated in Arabian Travel Market, an exclusive trade show focused on the high-end segment held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

With more than 2,500 exhibitors from around the world, the Peruvian presence at the trade show, through the PROMPERÚ office in Dubai, has sparked the interest of tour operators offering luxury services, especially for couples. Companies from India, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Oman, Egypt, and Tunisia, among other countries, have expressed interest in collaborating. Throughout the four-day trade

show, Peru has been positioned as a luxury tourist destination, distinguished by its unparalleled destinations such as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and Iquitos, and the Peruvian Amazon were the most sought-after destinations due to their international recognition and unique characteristics.

Likewise, during the event, airline executives expressed their interest in establishing a new air route to Peru, which represents a key opportunity to strengthen connectivity and tourism in the country. Furthermore, one of the highlights of the fair was the exhibition of Peruvian specialty coffees from various regions.

Peru's presence at the Arabian Travel Market—which included the participation of the Peruvian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Alberto Farje—allowed for the diversification of the tourism base to attract high-spending travelers and establish new professional contacts in this segment. Likewise, the event sought to highlight the sustainability of luxury tourism in Peru by promoting responsible practices.

PROMPERÚ is responsible for promoting the national tourism offering to the world through various promotional activities. These efforts are part of its strategy to consolidate the country's position as a luxury tourism option in the Asian market and attract high-net-worth travelers to the Arabian Peninsula.
