“Joining the EM team as Trade Relations for the Southern Cluster represents a tremendous opportunity, both professionally and personally. It means being part of a team that not only drives results but also builds strategic relationships based on trust, hard work, and business understanding,” says Paula. “I'm excited about this new challenge because it allows me to contribute my experience, continue learning, and serve as a bridge between Antigua and Barbuda and the Southern Cluster trade.”

There are currently significant opportunities for developing trade relations between Antigua and Barbuda and the Southern Cone countries, especially in the tourism sector. "We are facing a luxury destination with paradisiacal beaches and a southern market with growing interest in the Caribbean. Through strategic alliances with travel agencies, wholesale operators, airlines, and media outlets, we can facilitate access to the destination and boost the flow of tourists to the islands," he added.

With 21 years of industry experience, Paula has developed a comprehensive business vision. She served as Director of Tourism at the Guatemalan Embassy in Buenos Aires for eight years, and then served for 12 years as Commercial Manager at the tourism marketing agency TMamericas, where she promoted destinations such as Central Florida, the Bahamas, Kennedy Space Center, and Icon Park Orlando. She also worked with major hotel chains and the wholesale operator PTP Mundo Maya.

Her incorporation into EM Marketing & Communication represents a strategic step in Antigua and Barbuda's positioning in the region, with a focus on generating sustainable businesses and long-term relationships with key industry players.
