After announcing the repositioning of its brand with the "Brazil's Sky is Blue" campaign launched in March, Azul continues its new phase in the market with the creation of a new Vice President of Sales and Business. The position will be filled by Daniel Bicudo, an executive who has been building a leadership career at the Company since 2018.
As Azul's new Vice President, Bicudo will lead the Commercial, CRM/Performance, Digital Channels, and Ancillary Revenue divisions of Azul Linhas, as well as the Azul Viagens, Azul Fidelidade, and Azul Cargo business units, which comprise a total of 700 people. According to him, one of his main objectives is to promote integration between business units to strengthen the Company's commercial operations, aligned with the diversity of products offered to its customers.
Our challenge will be to ensure greater synergy and integration between business units, while preserving the integrity of each. To achieve this, we will reorganize and seek closer ties, for example, with the Network and Revenue Management areas, as well as with partners such as sales and travel agencies. This way, we will be able to offer better products and maximize Azul's profits and sales, stated Daniel Bicudo.
The executive sees the new position as another professional mission, especially in charge of such a diverse portfolio within the company. Bicudo emphasized the importance of each of the business units and cited some figures from Azul Viagens as an example.
To understand the importance of our business areas, we can look at Azul Viagens' growth over the past three years. We achieved an increase of nearly 60%, which drove the expansion of our flight network, identified opportunities for new destinations, and created new products, including experiential tourism.
We want to advance every area of the Vice Presidency, and I'm excited about the responsibility of leading such experienced and dedicated people, the executive stated.
A graduate in Business Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and specialized in Finance, Daniel Bicudo has worked at USP and Cranfield University in the UK. He has accumulated relevant experience in renowned companies, including a decade at Embraer, where he contributed to the company's integrated planning. Before assuming the role of Vice President, he was responsible for the Commercial and Business Director position. At Azul, he previously led the Azul Loyalty Program and the Marketing and Customer Experience areas.
