Major international brands such as Iberia and American Airlines, as well as official tourism organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean, have already confirmed their participation. The event thus consolidates its position as a strategic meeting point between outbound and inbound markets in the Americas.
The World Travel Exhibition Miami (WTE Miami) returns with a bang for its 2025 edition, bringing together a distinguished representation of global tourism companies. Four months before the event, the fair has already recorded a 25% increase in the number of confirmed exhibitors compared to the same period last year, reflecting the
growing international interest in this unique professional gathering.
“We're seeing larger pavilions and greater sector diversity, especially from Latin America, the United States, Africa, and Europe,” explains Javier Pérez Palencia, Director of WTE Miami. “Exhibiting at WTE Miami 2025 is a key opportunity to connect with a highly qualified professional audience. We expect more than 3,000 American and international buyers. This makes the event an exceptional platform for generating business, presenting products or services, and establishing lasting partnerships in a first-class professional environment.”
A diverse range of sectors and major brands are already on board.
WTE Miami 2025 will feature the participation of national and regional tourism organizations, airlines, hotel groups, travel agencies, tour operators, technology companies, and DMCs (Destination Management Companies).
Confirmed exhibitors include American Airlines, Iberia, ProColombia, and tourism offices from countries such as Brazil, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
The Spanish airline Iberia returns as a Premium Sponsor and will also be the official sponsor of the Hosted Buyers cocktail party. “The experience at WTE Miami 2024 was excellent,” says Adriana Ron Pedrique, Portfolio Manager USA & Canada at Iberia.
“From the beginning, we were offered multiple options to represent our brand in a coherent and strategic way. Returning in 2025 was a natural decision, as we gained significant visibility, relevant contacts, and real business opportunities.”
Strong African presence and opening towards Asia and new tourism niches
Along with the strong Latin American and Caribbean representation, this year's highlight is the growing interest from Africa and Southeast Asia, driven in part by the rise of multi-destination travel and the consolidation of Miami as an intercontinental hub.
Africa will feature more than 30 exhibitors at WTE Miami 2025, including Visit Burundi, which is returning after a very positive experience in 2024. “The event gave us international visibility, key contacts, and an excellent platform to position Burundi as an emerging destination,” explains Niyonzima Bernice, Marketing and Brand Director at Visit Burundi. “We established partnerships for future tourism operations, cultural programs, and even attracted the interest of investors in the ecotourism and hospitality sectors. In addition, several international media outlets and content creators showed interest in our country as a unique and under-explored destination.”
WTE Miami is also attracting a growing number of exhibitors specializing in wellness tourism, medical tourism, luxury tourism, and adventure tourism, reflecting the market's evolution toward personalized, high-value experiences.
Repeated participations, consolidated results
The high rate of repeat exhibitors is one of the best indicators of the tangible value WTE Miami offers as a business platform. The 2024 edition delivered excellent results in terms of return on investment and effective networking, which has driven the return of numerous companies.
Among them, the Dominican Republic Tourism Office in Miami stands out. Its director, Wendy Justo, states: “We had a fantastic experience at WTE 2024. We generated contacts with real business potential and strengthened our promotional strategy. We will return in 2025 to continue attracting visitors to the wonderful Dominican Republic. Congratulations to the organizers for a top-level, professional event!”
Gray Dawes | Express Travel, a travel management agency with operations in the U.S. and Latin America, is also returning. Olga Ramudo, Senior Vice President for Florida and Latin America, emphasizes: “WTE Miami has become a must-attend event for agencies seeking productive contacts with suppliers and travel destinations. The 2024 edition allowed us to establish relationships that directly impacted the offerings we provide to our clients. It is an efficient, well-organized, and business-oriented trade show.”
The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), which represents more than 17,000 travel advisors worldwide, will also be participating again. “WTE Miami stands out for its understanding and appreciation of the role of the travel advisor. The previous edition exceeded our expectations: effective meetings, new product discovery, and
real opportunities for long-term collaboration. Events like this are key to our members remaining competitive in a constantly evolving market,” says Kelly Bergin of ASTA.
