Within the framework of the event, various key areas were addressed to continue the development and strengthening of ANATO. First, the 2024-2025 management report was presented, highlighting the economic context of tourism at the national and international levels; the current situation of travel agencies in the country; current industry trends, the importance of technology and social media in travel; achievements in trade representation; and also topics such as training and capacity building in the various initiatives the Association has been implementing.
Finally, the event concluded with the election of the new members of the ANATO Board of Directors, who will work hand in hand with the Executive President to defend travel agencies and the sector.
The four candidates with the most votes were elected as the main members: - Diego Vásquez, from Viajes Aéreos Armenia - Natalia Vélez, from Panamericana de Viajes - Odalys Bautista, from All Reps - Víctor Orduz, from Best Travel Service * The dignitaries President, Vice President, Secretary and Director, for the period 2025 - 2027, will be elected at the next meeting of the National Board of Directors.
"For the Association, the guidelines of its National Board of Directors, made up of its main members and representatives of the 9 chapters, are essential. We will continue working together to represent Travel Agencies, to continue promoting initiatives that lead to strengthening the work of our companies and to continue building together a tourism that is increasingly positioned as an important driver of the economy," said Paula Cortés Calle, Executive President of ANATO.
