On May 7 and 8, a Quito Tourism delegation held two destination presentations in Colombia, attended by more than 100 media representatives and local influencers.

The delegation from the most beautiful city in the world carried out BTL (Below The Line) activations in emblematic spaces in Bogotá and Medellín. These activities promoted the cultural and gastronomic richness of the DMQ, as well as the products of the Quito Store, in a sensorial experience that connected with the local public.

The event in Bogotá brought together 59 people, including influencers and media outlets. Caracol Radio, RCN Radio, Blue Radio, Jorge Barón, and Radio Nacional de Colombia were among the audience. The event in Medellín also featured 50 attendees, including Tele Antioquia, Revista de Turismo, Ruta Noticias, Radio la Novena Estación, and others.

Colombia is one of Quito's priority markets. According to data from the Urban and Rural Tourism Information System (SITUR), 611,739 international visitors arrived in the capital in 2024, of which 25,044 came from the neighboring country to the north, representing 4.09% of the total. These figures demonstrate the importance of strengthening promotional strategies in that country to consolidate Quito's position in the Colombian market.
