Sernatur promotes Puerto Natales´ adventure tourism offerings in preparation for ATWS 2025

Puerto Natales will host the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) 2025, taking place from October 13 to 16. Therefore, in a joint effort between the National Tourism Service and the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), a comprehensive training program is being developed to strengthen and prepare Chilean tourism businesses for the future of adventure tourism.

This is AdventureEDU Chile 2025, an initiative comprised of sessions that offer valuable learning and networking opportunities, culminating in intensive in-person training from yesterday through May 9 in Puerto Natales. This practical and specialized program aims to equip local tourism businesses with the essential tools and skills to make fundamental changes in their businesses, enabling them to successfully sell to business partners and consumers, as well as build a strong community among industry professionals.

Sernatur National Director Cristóbal Benítez emphasized that "initiatives like AdventureEDU Chile 2025 are a fundamental pillar in preparing local businesses to take full advantage of the business opportunities that will emerge from ATWS 2025. During these four days, they will be able to strengthen their capacity to offer world-class adventure experiences and consolidate Chile as a leading destination in this segment globally."

With its extensive global training experience, ATTA seeks to empower more than 30 tourism businesses in Puerto Natales, helping them develop the skills needed to thrive in a dynamic and competitive market. Through this program, participants will acquire key knowledge in areas such as sales strategies, specialized adventure tourism marketing, sustainability management, and creating memorable experiences for travelers.
