Africa's Travel Indaba 2025, held from May 12 to 15 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban, is bringing together the best of African tourism under the motto “Shaping Africa's Tomorrow Through Connection Today”. Among the more than 1,300 exhibitors and representatives from 27 African countries, the Peermont Hotels, Casinos and Resorts chain stands out, with a robust and strategic portfolio to attract both luxury and budget travelers.
“We have five-star, four-star and three-star hotels. This makes it easier for those traveling from abroad and looking for different types of accommodation, depending on their budget,” says Eduardo Ferreira, the group's sales executive, who was present at the event.
Location and mobility as differentiators
One of the chain's jewels is the Emperors Palace complex, located just ten minutes from Johannesburg airport, with free transportation between 7 am and 11 pm. “If it’s outside of business hours, we have an exclusive service for 350 rand. Guest safety and comfort are our priority,” explains Ferreira.
The complex also stands out for its gastronomic diversity. “We have a Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Indian restaurant, and a seafood restaurant... And all of them are open to the public, not just guests. It’s a complete experience,” he emphasizes.
Flexibility for the modern traveler
Eduardo Ferreira also points out that the group’s hotels are mostly Bed & Breakfast (B&B), with the option of including other meals upon prior deposit. “Four- and three-star hotels don’t offer 24-hour room service, but the five-star hotel has this advantage,” he explains.
South African roots, international spirit
The group’s history is also noteworthy: it was born inspired by Las Vegas, in the United States, but was acquired and completely South Africanized. “Today, it is a 100% South African group. We changed the name from Caesars Palace to Emperors Palace. It’s a source of national pride,” says Ferreira.
Looking to the world
Peermont welcomes guests from all over the world, with a focus on visitors from the United States, the United Kingdom, China and India. “The majority of visitors today come from India. This shows how attractive our product is globally,” he adds.
Hospitality as an art
When talking about the concept of hospitality, Ferreira is direct: “Hospitality is how you support a person, how you welcome them and, most importantly, how you say goodbye. It is a complete cycle of care.”
With this philosophy, the Peermont group reaffirms its commitment to excellence in service and its commitment to diversity of experiences, consolidating itself as one of the highlights of Travel Indaba 2025.
