Within the framework of Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2025, Turks & Caicos presented its tourism development proposal with a clear vision: to continue positioning itself as a luxury destination with options for all budgets, focusing on sustainable growth and strengthening its collaboration with the trade.

Experience Turks & Caicos' new interim CEO, Paul Pennicook, led the official launch of the destination, highlighting its commitment to international promotion, the organization of familiarization trips (FAM trips), and an active training program for travel agents in key source markets.

Despite being globally recognized for its exclusive offerings and high-end resorts, Pennicook emphasized that Turks & Caicos is focused on diversifying its offerings to accommodate a broader audience, while maintaining its core values of personalized service, unspoiled nature, and wellness experiences.

Positive occupancy and tourist spending figures.
The destination currently has an estimated capacity of 4,000 rooms. During the first quarter of 2025, performance was solid:

January: 70.5% occupancy

February: 71.4%

March: 72.4%

Additionally, average daily visitor spending (ADV) reached USD 1,544, an indicator that reaffirms the high-value visitor profile the destination attracts, even as it expands its offering to more diverse audiences.

Investments in air connectivity and airport improvements
One of the pillars of the growth strategy is the expansion and modernization of airport infrastructure, which will allow for greater operational capacity and a better passenger experience.

In Providenciales, the new International Airport project includes the construction of a new passenger terminal, runway expansion, and the addition of a parallel taxiway. Final bids were received in December 2024 and are currently under evaluation.

In addition, the 2024-2026 Congestion Relief Project is underway, having completed its first phase with the expansion of the international departures area and the installation of a new security checkpoint. In its second phase, new boarding gates will be added.

In South Caicos, the Norman B. Saunders International Airport has already been opened for international flights, while a new terminal has been designed in North Caicos. Also notable are regular domestic flights between Providenciales and North Caicos, which began last year, improving inter-island connectivity.

A vision of responsible growth:
Turks & Caicos continues to stand out as a competitive destination in the Caribbean, with a first-class tourism infrastructure, a focus on the quality of the visitor experience, and strong collaboration with international business partners.
