During his participation in Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2025, Anguilla's Honorable Minister of Health, Sports and Tourism, Cardigan Connor, presented the progress and strategic plans that position the island as a comprehensive tourism destination in the Caribbean.
Anguilla is currently moving forward with a strategy focused on diversification, sustainability, and infrastructure improvements. Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport will be expanded with a new terminal in 2025 and a runway extension in 2026, allowing for longer-range flights. American Airlines is also strengthening its connectivity with a third direct flight from Miami during peak season.
In addition, the island is investing in luxury tourism with new developments such as the second resort by Ani Private Resorts and the Altamer marina, which will include a hotel, residences, and space for large yachts. In addition, events such as the Moonsplash Music Festival and the Anguilla Culinary Experience strengthen its cultural and culinary offerings.
With sustainable tourism initiatives and voluntourism programs, Anguilla seeks to attract a diverse audience, consolidating its position as a unique yet accessible destination in the Caribbean.
