Arajet, the Dominican airline, celebrated a new edition of its "Pilot for a Day" initiative, an educational program that seeks to encourage children and young people to enter the aviation industry.

Twenty-one students from the Vetilio Alfau Duran School participated in this commemorative edition, learning about the airline's various work areas to foster educational and professional interest in aeronautical-related fields in order to enter the workforce in the future.

Upon welcoming the participants, Arajet CEO and founder Víctor Pacheco Méndez said, "We want to convey our passion for aviation to these children so that in the future they can participate in various careers in the aeronautical sector and lead important areas of the industry that will allow them to grow professionally."

The students toured Arajet's offices, met one-on-one with crew members, and then visited the hangar at Las Américas International Airport. During the trip, they met the aircraft maintenance team, visited the control cabin, and enjoyed a variety of amenities.

During the two and a half years of the program's implementation, it has welcomed more than 1,000 children and adolescents from vulnerable areas of the Dominican Republic, reaffirming its commitment to education and social development and sowing the seeds for a strong and sustainable aeronautical industry in the Dominican Republic.
