New York City becomes the capital of Caribbean tourism this week with the return of Caribbean Week, one of the most iconic events organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). Under the theme "Connecting the World, Celebrating Diversity," the event will be held from June 1 to 6, 2025, at the Westin New York at Times Square and also commemorates the CTO's 35th anniversary.

Over six days, the event will bring together tourism ministers, tourism board directors, entrepreneurs, specialized media, and other key industry players. The agenda includes strategic meetings, training sessions, cultural activities, and sessions focused on innovation, with a special focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and women's empowerment in tourism.

Highlights include:

The traditional Caribbean Media Marketplace, which connects Caribbean destinations with media outlets around the world.

The Caribbean Media Awards ceremony, which recognizes journalistic excellence in promoting the Caribbean.

The “Cricket in the Square” session, celebrating the Caribbean’s role as host of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup.

Presentations on digital marketing, sustainability, and the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers for tourism development.

There will also be space for networking, investment promotion, and reflection with activities such as the inaugural church service, the Juneteenth celebration, and a women's leadership breakfast.

With this 2025 edition, Caribbean Week reaffirms its role as a key international showcase for Caribbean destinations, showcasing not only its beaches and landscapes, but also its people, culture, and vision for the future.
