The city of Buenos Aires was the most popular Argentine destination to visit in 2024, thanks to its large number of tourist attractions. This recognition is based on the selection of users of Civitatis, the online platform that sells excursions and guided tours around the world.
According to information shared by the company, Buenos Aires saw a 10.5% increase in the number of reservations compared to the previous year. It also highlights that July was the busiest month, coinciding with the winter holidays.
"This news represents the city's continued growth thanks to the work we do together with the private sector to generate an attractive tourism offering year-round. Buenos Aires has a wide range of activities for all tastes, in line with the most highly ranked destinations in the world ," said Valentín Díaz Gilligan, president of the Buenos Aires City Tourism Board and Visit Buenos Aires.
Among the data presented in the report, it stands out that 71% of the reviews left by platform users for activities in Buenos Aires are 5-star. It's also worth noting that the "Shows," "Food," and "Wine Tourism" categories showed the greatest increase in bookings compared to the previous year.
The city of Buenos Aires is a year-round destination for experiences, offering visitors the opportunity to try its more than 7,000 restaurants, visit its 287 theaters, explore its 380 bookstores, and explore its 150 museums, all while enjoying a wide range of shows.
