Now tourists have another reason to travel to Gramado in Serra Gaúcha, as they will soon have the opportunity to visit a frozen castle, which will be the largest themed icebar in the world. The legend of a king who transforms into a beast and freezes his castle is being created by Hector Studios in a unique attraction. Visitors will be led through different areas of the castle, where elements of cold, light, sound and illusionism combine to create an experience worthy of major international parks. The new attraction will include a complete sensory journey that ranges from an open bar to an immersive show that promises to become a tourist attraction in its own right.
With freezing temperatures, the scenic castle is scheduled to open in spring 2025. The attraction's narrative was inspired by the tale “Beauty and the Beast” and conceptualized over the course of two years. The project has the co-creation of big stars, and was inspired by Dan Cockerell, former vice president of Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World's main park in Florida, who mentored the team of dreamers at Hector Studios in 2023.
The Ice Castle is Hector Studios' first project outside the gastronomy segment. The themed attraction reinforces the company's strategic direction within entertainment. "In this way, we began to focus our efforts on immersive attractions, aiming to build a 'Brazilian Disney' and the most magical brand in Brazil", emphasizes the brand's Dreamer of Experience, Will Weber.
Unlike an isolated theme park, Hector Studios' concept transforms Gramado and Canela into a true living park — where each attraction represents a "land" within the brand's entertainment matrix. "It's not Hector's park. The city itself is our park. The Castle will be a new 'magic land' within this great enchanted territory", explains Dudu Kny, Business Dreamer at Hector Studios. With capacity to receive more than 1,200 people per day, the place will have its own narrative, original soundtrack and interactive sets that transform throughout the route. "This is our most ambitious project to date. We want each visitor to feel like they are entering a parallel universe, where magic happens in every detail", says Dudu.

In addition to the physical attraction, the launch will be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes web series, books and official products, and is part of a strategy that positions Hector Studios as one of the main cases of multisensory immersive entertainment in Latin America. The project is so large that it will be revealed at different times. The first official event to present the new product will take place in Gramado on June 27th in the form of a press conference, with the presence of journalists, partners, content creators and members of the creative team at Hector Studios.
“The Ice Castle is much more than an icebar. It is an attraction that will create magical memories for every guest who agrees to step through the portal into our universe.” -Wiil Weber, Hector Dreamer
