"I am pleased to announce that we have signed a sublicense agreement for the construction and operation of a large Howard Johnson resort in the Sierra de la Ventana region of Buenos Aires Province," said Alberto Albamonte, CEO of GHA and President of Howard Johnson and Days Inn in Argentina.
The signing of this new contract for construction and operation under the norms and standards of the prestigious international chain Howard Johnson was signed with the Peruvian business group Savile Holding, represented by Julio Canova Talledo, president of GSH, who believe in the tourism potential of the mountainous region and the tremendous support provided by the Howard Johnson brand.
"We took on the challenge of this investment because we value the human quality, professionalism, and international prestige of the Howard Johnson chain, combined with the analysis of the risk balance for our investors," said Julio Canova Talledo.
The 70-room hotel is located on Provincial Route 76, km 238, in the town of Tornquist, in the Sierra de la Ventana region. Tornquist has an estimated population of 8,000 inhabitants and is located southwest of Buenos Aires province, 76 km from the city of Bahía Blanca and 570 km from Buenos Aires City. The hotel will be named Howard Johnson Solares de la Ventana.
Among the services to be provided, GHA reports that the hotel will have a spacious reception and lobby bar, an international restaurant, a business center, a convention hall, an indoor and outdoor pool, a spa, a gym, and parking, among other amenities.
"We are happy with this new signing as we continue to expand in the province of Buenos Aires, adding this project to two new projects such as the cities of Bahía Blanca and Lobos, which are under construction," said Alberto Albamonte, who adds that with this signing and the next two short-term openings, they will reach 16 hotels in the largest province in the country.
From GHA they express their great satisfaction at landing in one of the most beautiful mountainous areas in the country and echo what the local Tourism Directorate proclaims: "Framed by the Ventania mountain system, one of the most important mountain ranges in the Pampas region is located in the Tornquist district, where you can visit the different towns that comprise it, surrounded by rivers and streams, hills, ravines, lagoons and a unique landscape in the province of Buenos Aires."
For his part, Julio Canova Talledo, president of GSH, stated, "We have everything necessary for visitors to our region to have an unforgettable experience, to fall in love with its natural attractions and the various activities offered, in addition to a varied cuisine and regional products. Of course, our hotel will also add to this, which I believe will become the jewel of the area."
