Chicago and New York, June 6, 2025 — United Airlines and Spotify announced a strategic collaboration that redefines the inflight entertainment experience, offering more than 450 hours of complimentary content on 4K Bluetooth-enabled seatback screens on more than 680 aircraft. The partnership marks the first time Spotify has made its catalog of audiobooks and video podcasts available on an airline.

The offering includes established titles like Good Hang with Amy Poehler , The Dave Chang Show , and The Comment Section with Drew Afualo , along with curated versions of Spotify's most popular playlists. This content will be grouped under a new category called "Spotify," replacing "Audio" in United's main entertainment menu.

In addition to the immediate improvements, starting in 2026, passengers will be able to connect their personal devices to the Spotify app from their in-seat screens, allowing them to seamlessly resume their favorite content. Meanwhile, aircraft equipped with Starlink connectivity will allow seamless streaming of content from the gate to their destination after logging in with a MileagePlus® account.

The collaboration also extends beyond the cabin. MileagePlus members who subscribe to Spotify Premium Individual for the first time can earn up to 1,000 bonus miles. This offer will be promoted through Kinective MediaSM by United Airlines, which will promote the benefit across various touchpoints throughout the journey, including in-flight screens, the United mobile app, clubs, emails, and other channels.

With this initiative, United and Spotify strengthen their commitment to innovation and personalization in the passenger experience, integrating advanced technology and premium content into every step of the journey.
