In 2025, for the first time, WTM London is introducing a unified theme across the conference's six themes to maintain focus and improve clarity throughout the event. While the themes remain consistent with last year's (covering Sustainability, Technology, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion), Marketing, Geoeconomics, and Travel Trends), this unified theme will create a cohesive experience for all attendees.
The organizers invite bold thinkers, fresh voices, and forward-thinking innovators to submit proposals for WTM 2025. This is an opportunity to share expertise with a wide-ranging, global audience of travel industry professionals and contribute to shaping the future of the sector.
Submissions must align with one of the six key conference themes and clearly demonstrate how the proposed session supports the 2025 theme: Reimagining Travel in a Changing World.
WTM's keynote addresses, panel discussions, and presentations are the event's highlights, as evidenced by the overwhelmingly positive response it receives each year from attendees, sponsors, and speakers alike.
Conference session attendance increased by 29% in 2024 compared to 2023. In response, WTM London rapidly expanded stage capacity, including a first-ever expansion to Level 0 of Excel London. By 2025, the conference space will be further expanded to accommodate anticipated audience growth.
The conference advisory team is made up of six industry experts. Their role is to select proposals for their respective sections and leverage their extensive networks to present interesting and relevant stories.
The WTM London conference advisors and trackers are composed of:
DEAI - Uwern Jong, Chief Experientialist® at OutThere
Geoeconomics - Mark Frary, author, writer, and consultant
Marketing - Matthew Gardiner, Director of Travel Massive and Senior Vice President of FINN Partners and Tina Charisma, Director and Founder of Charisma Campaign
Sustainability - Tina O'Dwyer, Founder and CEO of The Tourism Space
Technology - Timothy O'Neil-Dunne, President of T2Impact LLC
The conference program is already taking shape. On the opening day, Tuesday, November 4, the WTM Global Travel Report, the Sustainability Summit, and the Geoeconomics Summit will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Yellow, Purple, and Orange Stages, respectively. The Technology and DEAI Summits will take place on Wednesday, November 5, also starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Purple and Orange Stages.
On the final day of the event, Thursday the 6th, the Marketing Summit will take place on the Yellow Stage, as well as the ITT Future You Forum and the closing keynote, details of which will be announced shortly.
Previous closing speakers include entrepreneur and comedian Katherine Ryan, award-winning documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux, and entrepreneur Steven Bartlett.
Submissions for the call for content will close on July 7.
“Introducing a unified theme across the program brings greater consistency and coherence to our content,” said Brooke Gilbertson, Conference Director, WTM London. “Reimagining Travel in a Changing World is a theme designed to inspire attendees to reflect on the evolving purpose of travel in the face of global changes, emerging challenges, and new opportunities. It lays the foundation for meaningful dialogue, innovation, and collaboration across all facets of the travel and tourism industry.”
Last year, we launched the Call for Content form, which was a huge success, allowing us to hear from prominent speakers and innovative perspectives. This form reflects WTM's ongoing commitment to providing an inclusive platform for meaningful ideas that address current challenges and inspire long-term transformation across the entire tourism industry.
“WTM London’s conference sessions have always struck the perfect balance between educational and entertaining, and with the momentum generated last year, we expect this year’s program to be one of the strongest in WTM London’s 45-year history.”
