What were Paraguay's objectives at this edition of FIEXPO Latin America?
I'm very pleased to participate in the Political Forum, a key event led by Arnaldo Nardone, who has been a great ally in positioning Paraguay in the MICE segment. On this occasion, we're here to renew the agreement and update our strategic plan. Paraguay is determined to take its place in this sector and is already hosting high-level international events.
What is your assessment of the meetings with other countries in the region?
We had the opportunity to share our experiences with colleagues from Chile, Colombia, and Costa Rica, signing agreements to exchange best practices. Paraguay is open to sharing its success stories and learning from regional experiences.
How was the Paraguayan delegation composed?
We were joined by the Paraguayan Ambassador to Costa Rica, the Director of the Country Brand Promotion Agency—part of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce—and representatives from the private sector, including the Paraguay Convention & Visitors Bureau. This was a strategic presence, with the goal of attracting events to the country and advancing the creation of a national network of convention bureaus.
How are you strengthening Paraguay's position as a MICE destination?
We are committed to the professionalization of the sector and the hospitality that distinguishes us. These actions, along with the updated strategic plan and collaborative work with key stakeholders, allow us to move forward steadily.
Is there a possibility that FIEXPO will be held in Paraguay in the future?
Why not? We know there are several candidate destinations and that FIEXPO remains in the same location for three years, but Paraguay is ready to host this event whenever possible.
What events are already confirmed for the coming years?
We signed an agreement to hold a FIEXPO workshop in Paraguay. We also have a commitment with Arnaldo Nardone to hold an event in September 2026, which represents a significant step forward for our strategy.
