What are your expectations going into FIEXPO, and how do you currently view the MICE segment for Royal Caribbean?
We're very excited. Honestly, we didn't know what to expect from this edition, but from the first glance, it seemed like a very well-organized event. The forum, the convention center... everything was spectacular. We believe it will be well worth it for the quality of the meetings. Beyond the number of attendees, we're looking for valuable meetings that allow us to attract direct clients and companies interested in incentive groups or conventions. These types of spaces are ideal for connecting with them.
Royal Caribbean is a brand also designed for doing business. Our ships are equipped to handle onboard meetings, and that represents a unique opportunity. We want to build relationships with players in the region that we haven't yet identified, and doing so in a country as rich in culture, gastronomy, and diversity as this one makes it even more special.
What are the most relevant new features of your offering for the MICE segment?
We're heavily promoting our Quantum-class ship, the most innovative and technological in the fleet. It's currently sailing from Los Angeles, with itineraries that include Ensenada and Los Cabos. It's a program that combines gastronomy, wine, and enriching experiences with spaces specifically designed for events.
This ship features conference rooms, bars, and a main theater with capacity for up to 1,400 people. We offer a full fleet for this type of operation, and we want to attract companies that can conduct business on the Pacific coast, enjoy this experience on board, and at the same time close deals in a unique and impressive environment.
How does the year continue for Royal Caribbean's MICE division?
Our main objective is to grow, especially in the direct customer segment. We're working with sectors such as pharmaceuticals, insurance, and automotive, which have shown great interest. These forums are ideal for building new relationships and closing strategic projects.
Furthermore, we see great enthusiasm among companies to explore new formats and destinations for their events, and that's where Royal Caribbean represents a perfect solution. We want to continue positioning ourselves as the most innovative and comprehensive option for meetings tourism.
