Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 2025 – Emirates and Bahamasair have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an interline partnership that will facilitate connectivity to The Bahamas from the United States. This new partnership will allow Emirates passengers to access Bahamasair flights from Miami and Orlando to Nassau, Freeport, and San Salvador, integrating the entire journey into a single ticket.

The agreement also provides Emirates travelers with a generous baggage allowance when using the services of the Bahamian national airline. In this way, the Dubai-based company strengthens its presence in the Caribbean, expanding its network to strategic tourist destinations through agile and competitive connections.

Emirates Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim highlighted the strategic value of the partnership: “We are pleased to establish this collaboration with Bahamasair to expand our reach to new and attractive destinations and offer travel options to our customers planning to visit this Caribbean nation. This partnership allows passengers to easily connect in Florida to continue their journey to various points in The Bahamas, with competitive fares, the convenience of a single ticket, and favorable baggage policies.” He also emphasized that this collaboration complements the agreement signed between Emirates and the Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at promoting this destination on its global network.

For his part, Bahamasair CEO Tracy Cooper highlighted the impact of the alliance: “This alliance significantly raises Bahamasair's global profile and opens doors to new markets and strategic insights. By partnering with one of the world's most respected airlines, we strengthen our capabilities and lay the foundation for sustained international growth.”

Both airlines also plan to explore future joint initiatives in cargo transportation and benefits for their respective frequent flyer programs.

The Miami and Orlando airports, key hubs for this initiative, are among the 12 destinations Emirates currently serves in the United States. The airline offers a daily flight to Miami on its Boeing 777 and five weekly flights to Orlando, connecting passengers to more than 140 destinations across its international network.

The announcement of this partnership builds on the tourism promotion initiatives agreed upon by Emirates and the Government of The Bahamas during the Arabian Travel Market, as part of a joint strategy to strengthen the Caribbean country's tourism industry and commercial development.
