Let the epic adventures begin! Universal Orlando Resort has officially opened its newest and most anticipated theme park: Universal Epic Universe. This groundbreaking addition marks the debut of one of the most innovative and immersive theme parks ever built—and the first major theme park to open in Orlando in over 25 years.
Epic Universe transports guests to five incredibly imaginative worlds, each packed with unforgettable adventures that stretch the limits of imagination. These include Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.
“We are thrilled to officially unveil Universal Epic Universe to the world,” said Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort. “This park is the result of nearly a decade of passion, vision, and dedication. There’s truly nothing like it in our universe.”
Over ten years in the making, Epic Universe is the most ambitious project Universal Destinations & Experiences has ever undertaken. Guests enter through majestic portals that lead to five distinct worlds, featuring more than 50 experiences—including state-of-the-art attractions, immersive entertainment, themed dining, shopping, and more.
Celestial Park
The heart of Epic Universe, Celestial Park welcomes guests with lush gardens, meandering waterways, and inviting paths—bringing the "park" back to theme park. Highlights include Stardust Racers, a dual-launch racing coaster; the swirling and elegant Constellation Carousel; and Astronomica, a wet-play area and celestial compass for explorers of all ages.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Set in 1920s wizarding Paris and the iconic British Ministry of Magic, this third chapter of the Wizarding World franchise lets guests cast spells, encounter magical creatures, and indulge in delights like the famous Butterbeer crepe. The land's signature attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, is Universal’s most technologically advanced yet.
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
Gaming fans will be thrilled to step inside Super Mario Land and, for the first time in the U.S., Donkey Kong Country. Guests can join Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, explore Yoshi’s Adventure, and brave the thrilling Mine-Cart Madness coaster. Interactive Power-Up Bands allow guests to collect coins, unlock challenges, and discover secrets throughout the land.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
Enter a world where Vikings and dragons live in rowdy harmony. Guests can soar on Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, train like dragon riders on Dragon Racer’s Rally, and enjoy a live performance in The Untrainable Dragon show. From Viking-themed eats to photo ops with Toothless, every corner of Berk is bursting with heart and humor.
Dark Universe
In Dark Universe, legendary monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, and The Wolf Man haunt the eerie village of Darkmoor. Guests can explore Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, try to outrun werewolves on Curse of the Werewolf, and meet iconic characters while enjoying eerie eats at Das Stakehaus.
At the edge of the park stands the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Mediterranean-inspired retreat featuring 500 rooms, elegant dining, a rooftop bar with park views, a resort-style pool, and direct access to Epic Universe from the hotel lobby (with valid theme park admission).
