The 2025 edition of IPW concluded this Wednesday in Chicago with a clear message: the United States is redoubling its commitment to inbound tourism as a key driver of its economy. Organized by the US Travel Association, the event brought together more than 5,700 tourism industry professionals from 70 countries, including 2,000 international buyers and media.

Over the course of three days, more than 100,000 business meetings were held, laying the groundwork for millions of potential visitors in the coming years. The economic impact of international tourism was one of the main focuses of the event: according to data shared during IPW, international visitors spend on average four times more than domestic visitors, making this segment a priority.

From the event's opening, with a Brand USA presentation focused on advertising investments and tourism infrastructure, to the experiences offered by destinations such as Florida, California, New York, and Illinois, IPW 2025 reaffirmed the country's position as a diverse, accessible, and constantly evolving destination.

In addition, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, along with senior industry officials, emphasized the goal of reaching 90 million international visitors by 2027, with an estimated spending of $279 billion, aligned with the National Tourism Strategy.

The outcome was more than positive for the participating destinations and companies. Chicago, the host city, proved itself up to the challenge by combining first-class infrastructure with a unique cultural and culinary offering, reinforcing its profile as a global city.

The next edition of IPW will be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from June 8-12, 2026, with the expectation of continuing to strengthen the commercial and promotional ties that drive travelers from around the world to the United States.
