Recognized in the hotel market for its strong performance in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) policies, Trul Hotéis supported the 4th edition of the Environmental Awareness / Immensità Award. The chain's participation in the event reinforced its positioning as a reference in sustainable practices in the sector, aligned with the values that guide its management and the commitments assumed with the ventures under its management.
At the beginning of this year, Trul officially created its ESG Committee, with the aim of expanding the discussion and implementing concrete actions related to sustainability, social responsibility and governance in all managed hotels. The initiative consolidated the trajectory of the company, which for years has guided its actions towards caring for the environment and the communities in which it operates.
The Environmental Awareness/Immensità Awards took place earlier this month at the Wyndham Garden São Paulo Convention Nortel and at Espaço Immensità — both managed by Trul and located in the northern part of the city of São Paulo. The event is one of the most important initiatives to recognize organizations that stand out in sustainable practices. Since its creation, it has had the participation of more than 600 organizations from all regions of the country, awarding more than 85 institutions in categories such as Internal Policies, Sustainable Construction and External Policies.
In this year's edition, in addition to the traditional awards ceremony, the event brought new features: the Seminar “Brazil: Sustainable Development in Practice” and the launch of the book “The Planet is Ours: Let's Take Care of It”. The seminar discussed topics ranging from the origin of environmental awareness to debates on carbon credit legislation, technological innovation, preservation of the Amazon and the role of agribusiness in sustainable development.
For André Bekerman, CEO of Trul Hotéis, sponsoring and holding the event in the hotels managed by the chain is a source of great pride: “We are proud to support yet another edition of this important award. The hospitality sector plays a fundamental role in the transition to a greener and more responsible economy. Sponsoring this initiative connects us with important companies and organizations that share the same values and reinforces the potential for positive impact on the business of the hotels managed by Trul.”
Furthermore, the Immensità Space, one of the venues that hosted part of the program, is an icon of sustainability: it is the first space in Brazil to obtain the International Certificate of High Environmental Quality (AQUA No. 001), demonstrating the possibility of combining innovation, sustainability and performance in hotel operations. Participation in the Environmental Awareness Award / Immensità and the seminar was aimed at businesspeople, executives, public managers, academics and others interested in sustainable and innovative solutions to contemporary environmental challenges.
