This year, Skytrax held the 26th annual World Airline Awards in Paris, known as the "Oscars of the aviation industry," where passengers from around the world participate each year in the largest airline satisfaction survey.
Once again, after more than 22 million people from 100 countries voted for LATAM, it was recognized in two categories: Best Airline in South America, for the sixth consecutive year; and Best Airline Staff in South America, for the fourth consecutive year.
“Our customers' recognition of the improvements in the LATAM experience is a source of immense pride for us. This achievement reinforces our passengers' trust and celebrates the efforts of all the group's employees, who, with care and dedication, raise the standard of each trip. We continue to perfect the flying experience, with growing excellence and a constant commitment to going above and beyond,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.
These recognitions are based on the airline's value propositions, including the new Premium Business cabin, which includes suite-style sliding doors—unique in South America—full-flat seats, and 18" HD screens; the Premium Economy cabin, with a blocked center seat, more space, and elevated onboard service; and priority lanes at airports for passengers.
Connectivity was also key to these awards, which included onboard Wi-Fi, available on nearly 90% of the narrow-body aircraft fleet in Chile and 100% of the same model in Brazil. Regarding customer experience, the culinary offering based on collaborations with chefs from Brazil and Peru was recognized as part of the "Flavors that Transport" program.
Santiago's Signature Lounge, the largest in South America, was also recognized. It offers a premium experience even before the flight, specifically thanks to LATAM Signature Check-In, also located in São Paulo, Brazil.
“We are delighted to award LATAM Airlines the Best Airline in South America and the Best Airline Staff Service in South America awards. These recognitions reflect the respect LATAM has earned for the way it delivers service and interacts with its customers,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.
These awards are in addition to another recognition the LATAM Group received a few days ago at the APEX Best Awards 2025, where it won the "Best Airline in South America" category for its recent Premium Business cabins, onboard Wi-Fi, and other innovations associated with high standards of quality for passengers.
