On this occasion, a discussion was held with the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies regarding the Ministry of Tourism's participation in the ANATO 2026 Tourism Showcase, in order to evaluate the most appropriate format for Uruguay's institutional presence at the event. ANATO's Executive President, Paula Cortés, and Carlos Andrés Arias, Director of the Tourism Showcase and Deputy Director of Events, participated in the meeting.

The exchange with AVIANCA took place within the framework of the meetings on tourism connectivity that the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) has been holding. The main purpose of the meeting with Sales Executive Leticia Bethencourt, Sales Director David Alemán, and Global Director of Institutional Relations Viviana Martins was to advance a joint work agenda between the Ministry of Tourism and the airline, aimed at strengthening air connectivity between Colombia and Uruguay, with the goal of increasing and optimizing the flow of Colombian tourists to our country.

Furthermore, during the meeting, it was agreed to establish regular technical coordination sessions, in which both parties will share relevant statistical information and market studies to identify concrete opportunities to expand flight offerings and improve the travel experience for passengers between both destinations.

Avianca will participate in the workshop held in Bogotá in July by the Ministry of Tourism and CAMTUR.

The Minister of Tourism, Pablo Menoni, the National Director of Tourism, Cristian Pos, and Ana Paula Moreno, representing the International Relations and Cooperation Unit, participated in the meetings on behalf of the Ministry. Mercedes Corominas Galloso, the Uruguayan Ambassador to Colombia, also attended each meeting.
