THREE REVITALIZED BREAKAWAY-PLUS CLASS SHIPS SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO SAIL ALASKA, THE LAST FRONTIER

Through October 2025, Norwegian Cruise Line will have the youngest fleet sailing to Alaska, with five ships cruising to the region from convenient departure ports in the U.S. and Canada, including Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, offering guests more opportunities to enjoy one of the world's most scenic destinations.

This summer, guests can enjoy three of NCL’s newly refurbished Breakaway-Plus class ships—Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore® and Norwegian Joy®—custom-built for Alaskan cruising. The ships feature expansive observation lounges with panoramic views, as well as the Waterfront, the open-air promenade designed to enhance guests’ connection to the sea, featuring al fresco restaurants, bars and lounges. Additionally, newly refurbished this year, Norwegian Bliss offers a new outdoor venue, Horizon Park, a versatile gathering space offering a variety of experiences, from lawn games like cornhole to giant Jenga and reclining lounge chairs for optimal views of the Last Frontier.

Sister ships Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy also feature renovated spaces following their recent dry dockings, including the new addition of Spice H2O, the complimentary adults-only outdoor area set back from the main pool deck, and a spacious, newly expanded Thermal Suite at Mandara Spa and Salon, respectively.

In addition to offering guests newly enhanced, purpose-built ships for cruising Alaska, the brand is offering adventurers and nature lovers the largest number of departures from Seattle this Alaska cruise season. Through October 2025, NCL is offering guests seven-day roundtrip cruises every Saturday or Sunday aboard Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore, visiting some of Alaska's most beautiful locations, including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, and Victoria, British Columbia. The voyages also include a stop at Icy Strait Point, Alaska, home to the state's largest Native Tlingit village and an authentic wilderness experience where the landscape teems with whales, bears, otters, and more. Aboard Norwegian Joy, guests can enjoy a variety of nine- and 10-day roundtrip itineraries from Seattle, with six or seven days in port to immerse themselves in the lush scenery and wildlife of the Last Frontier.

To spend more time in the Alaska region, guests can also take advantage of NCL's incredible Cruisetour offer, which provides travelers with more days to explore the destination, including a visit to Denali National Park; a riverboat cruise and city tour in Fairbanks, Alaska; a tour of the Iditarod Sled Dog Musher Camp; and much more.
