Avianca announced today its official participation, under the "support" category, in the International Aeronautical and Space Fair (F-AIR Colombia 2025), which will take place from July 9 to 13 at José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, Antioquia.
Thanks to Avianca's commercial support and the more than 390 weekly flights it operates to and from Medellín, thousands of aviation enthusiasts will be able to visit Rionegro, Medellín, and also enjoy one of the most important aviation fairs in the region.
"We are very happy to participate in and support the Air Show and to make our route network available to millions of fans so they can enjoy the best of aviation. Without a doubt, Medellín is a key connection hub for Avianca and for Colombia. That's why we are constantly committed to this region. In 2019, we had 13 direct routes to five countries, and today we have 28 nonstop routes to 12 countries around the world. Additionally, we continue to strengthen our premium offering with two completely renovated VIP lounges and the growth of our Business Class Americas, which will be available on all international routes starting in September," said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
Avianca reaffirms the importance of Medellín as its second-largest hub in Colombia, after Bogotá. In fact, the company currently also has more than 2,100 employees in this region; it is the largest transporter of Antioquia flowers to the world through Avianca Cargo, and offers premium VIP lounges (Gold and Diamond, recently renovated).
