Mexico City – July 7, 2025. Arajet Airlines signed an agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to implement Turbulence Aware, a technological tool developed to improve real-time turbulence management.

The platform collects anonymized data generated by participating airlines' aircraft, enabling pilots and dispatchers to access accurate information to reduce the effects of turbulence and plan more efficient and stable routes. This solution aligns with operational safety standards promoted by the global airline industry.

Arajet thus becomes the first Caribbean-based airline to adopt this innovation, consolidating its position as a regional operator committed to using advanced technology to enhance the flight experience. The incorporation of Turbulence Aware also contributes to strengthening its data network in Latin America, a region where the airline has a growing operational presence.

The agreement was formalized during ALTA's Aviation Safety and Flight Operations Summit, held in Mexico City. Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, stated that this alliance represents a key step forward in the company's commitment to efficiency, safety, and comfort. For his part, Peter Cerdá, IATA's Regional Vice President for the Americas, highlighted the value of adding new operators to the system, increasing the quality of data available for turbulence mitigation.

With this initiative, Arajet continues to strengthen its profile as an innovative airline aligned with international best practices in air operations.
