The International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which will be held from January 21 to 25 at IFEMA Madrid, presents the fourth consecutive edition of FITUR Sports. Organized in collaboration with SPAIN IS SPORT – AFYDAD, the Spanish Association of Sporting Goods Manufacturers and Distributors, the event will reaffirm its position as the leading meeting point for sports tourism at the national and international levels during the trade days.
As a major innovation, FITUR Sports will be located in the new Knowledge Pavilion, where it will promote B2B meetings between sports tourism professionals: specialized agencies and tour operators, destinations hosting sporting events, brands, media outlets, and content creators, as well as the sports MICE segment, which includes corporate events related to sports.
Additionally, to facilitate business development and strategic alliances, an exclusive B2B space will be available where companies, media outlets, organizers, and suppliers can connect and present specialized solutions to create innovative corporate sports experiences that boost motivation and teamwork.
The section will focus on outdoor sports, competitive sports, sporting events, and Sport Business Travel. These topics will take place from January 21st to 23rd in the Knowledge Pavilion, with industry experts present to demonstrate the diversity and potential of sports tourism for the economic and social revitalization of destinations.
FITUR Sports is supported by leading public and private entities, such as the Spanish National Sports Council (Consejo Superior de Deportes), Turespaña, UN Tourism, CEOE (Spanish Association of Sports), ADESP (Spanish National Sports Federation), federations, professional associations, and leading sponsors. Following the success of the last edition, the section hopes to surpass its participation figures and once again become the epicenter of business and professional connections around sports tourism.
