This summer, Iberia is launching a revamped culinary offering both on board and in its VIP lounges, designed to offer its customers a fresh, sophisticated culinary experience representative of the best of Mediterranean cuisine. Seasonal menus combine tradition, innovation, and seasonal produce.
On long-haul flights, Iberia Business customers will be able to enjoy new features such as:
• Smoked salmon with lemon and pepper sauce, served with endive, cherry tomato, and dill salad.
• Burrata with tomato sobrasada, red pepper and spiced pumpkin, served with tapenade and rosemary focaccia.
• Iberian pork marinated in melon sauce, accompanied by sun-dried tomatoes and toasted almonds, among other dishes.
New main course options are being added, including:
• Grilled beef tenderloin, served with green peppercorn sauce, potato gratin, sautéed broccolini, and piquillo peppers.
• Baked hake on a saffron potato stew, accompanied by sautéed kale.
• Homemade pasta filled with goat cheese, in a piquillo pepper sauce and flavored with fresh thyme.
Finally, Iberia also renews its desserts, all of them homemade, with a variety that includes
• Pavlova with fresh seasonal fruits and mascarpone cream.
• Homemade rice pudding ice cream served with crispy cookies and puffed rice tiles.
• Chocolate and truffle cake.
On short- and medium-haul flights, Iberia Business Class customers can also enjoy new signature dishes, such as a tomato and piquillo pepper tartar marinated with cucumber, served with avocado and jalapeño cream; and, on the other hand, sautéed prawns with a light touch of garlic, accompanied by black rice and roasted zucchini.
Summer Gastrobar
Iberia's Gastrobar menu has also been updated with lighter and more flavorful offerings for the summer months, including a Pastrami Bagel or Caprese Coca, a new hot lasagna, or sweet treats like the hazelnut cookie accompanied by a fresh cappuccino or caramel popcorn. New refreshing cocktails like Rebujito and Mojito are also available.
Pre-order Service
The Pre-Order service, which allows Iberia customers to select the menu they wish to enjoy on board in advance, includes freshly prepared dishes for these new offerings. The menu includes, among other items, a ricotta and spinach mezzelune, a Greek salad with feta cheese, and a celebration pack for special occasions consisting of a vanilla and lemon mousse cake accompanied by a bottle of cava.
Customers can also pre-order the On Board Hospitality Awards-winning dish, rice with cuttlefish and shrimp.
Premium Lounge Rooms
Iberia has also renewed the gastronomic offer in its Premium Lounge at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, adapting its offering to customers' seasonal preferences.
Cold soups such as salmorejo and vichyssoise are being introduced, ideal for combating the summer heat. Salads have been lightened up, with fresher and more balanced recipes, and seasonal fruits such as melon, watermelon, apricots, and peaches have been introduced.
Additionally, new hot and cold appetizers have been added, including wraps, gyozas, and tequeños, which combine international flavors with a modern presentation.
The coffee offering has been updated with the addition of Illy, a supplier recognized worldwide for its quality.
The gastronomic experience is completed with a new ice cream menu, specifically designed for the summer months.
