In 2026, REMOTE Immersion, the traveling travel event created by REMOTE Latin America, celebrates a decade of meaningful connections, innovative collaborations, and transformative businesses, with a shared vision for independent, responsible, small-scale, and high-end tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean. To mark this special year, REMOTE will hold a unique edition in the heart of the Americas: in the mountains of the picturesque town of Boquete, Panama.

REMOTE Immersion Boquete will take place from May 4th to 8th, 2026, in one of Central America's most enchanting yet underexplored destinations. Tucked away in the mountains of Chiriquí Province, Boquete is a valley where cloud forests and world-famous coffee farms collide to create an extraordinary sense of place. Beyond landscapes, adventures, and flavors, Boquete is a community-driven destination, where innovation and tradition go hand in hand, and sustainability connects with the local essence, reflecting the REMOTE spirit in every detail.

More than a traveling tourism event, REMOTE Immersion is a purposeful experience, carefully designed for participating professionals. Over four dynamic days, the event brings together travel designers, hoteliers, and DMCs (Destination Management Companies) who are redefining the future of travel in Latin America and the Caribbean. Each edition is based on four main pillars: business meetings, cultural and outdoor experiences, inspiring content, and social moments—all designed to foster connections, collaboration, and long-term positive impacts.

Since its first edition in 2016 in the Brazilian Amazon, REMOTE Immersion has already passed through Chilean Patagonia, Guanacaste (Costa Rica), Barichara (Colombia), Cafayate (Argentina), Cuenca (Ecuador), Puyehue (Chile) and Antigua Guatemala, and will hold its ninth edition in Chapada dos Veadeiros, Brazil, in October 2025.

“We're celebrating ten years of genuine connections, unforgettable journeys, and a global community deeply united by values that go far beyond tourism. Each REMOTE Immersion is unique. We delve into the essence of each destination, embracing its strengths as well as its challenges. And Boquete, Panama, emerged as that special place where reconnection happens naturally and powerfully,” says Roberto Bitelman, director of REMOTE Latin America.

Panama: the meeting point for new connections

With more than 1,300 weekly flights from over 80 cities around the world, Panama occupies a unique position as a bridge not only between oceans and continents, but also between cultures, ecosystems, and people. From lush rainforests to Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous communities, spectacular marine biodiversity and award-winning cuisine, Panama invites travelers to go beyond the obvious and immerse themselves in deeper connections.

Having Visit Panama as the official host of REMOTE Immersion 2026 reinforces REMOTE Latin America's commitment to showcasing destinations that value diversity, inclusion, authenticity, transformation, and responsibility in tourism. And in 2026, Boquete will be the vibrant heart of this celebration, welcoming the REMOTE community to experience its flavors, its welcoming people, and its deep connection to the land and ancestral heritage.

“Hosting REMOTE Immersion in Panama is an important event for our country—a unique opportunity to showcase our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and cultural heritage. Through small-scale, responsible, and positive-impact tourism, REMOTE embodies the values that define our destination,” highlights Gabriella Rodriguez, Travel Trade Coordinator for Visit Panama.
