In line with its goal of providing greater access and connectivity to more people in Latin America, Avianca announces that, starting October 27, it will operate the direct Bogotá-Belén route, adding the capital of the state of Pará as a new destination to its route network.
“We are very happy to announce a new route to continue connecting Brazil, Latin America, and the world, this time to Belém, the gateway to the Amazon. At Avianca, we currently have nearly 50 weekly flights connecting more than 80 destinations and 25 countries with Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Manaus in Brazil, via Bogotá. Without a doubt, this new operation will allow thousands of visitors from around the world to easily reach Belém, ahead of COP30 and beyond, because this route serves the purpose of connecting northern Brazil, and that's why it's here to stay,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
The company will operate three weekly flights on Airbus A320 family aircraft, with capacity for 180 passengers, representing a total offering of more than 1,000 seats per week.
The new connectivity offered by Avianca will also be key for Belén, ahead of the United Nations COP30, which will bring together hundreds of world leaders in the city between November 10 and 21 to discuss climate change.
Tickets will be available starting July 24th at avianca.com, the mobile app, the contact center, physical points of sale, and travel agencies.
