Recognized as the first Latin American city to join the World Economic Forum's Innovative Cities network, Medellín has been named Best MICE Destination in South America. It has hosted high-level events such as the ICCA Latin America & Caribbean Summit, consolidating its position as a strategic hub for the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions industry.

This positioning is supported by a solid and diverse infrastructure. The city has more than 15,000 hotel rooms, convention centers like Plaza Mayor, and alternative spaces such as libraries, museums, and cultural cafes that provide distinctive experiences for corporate meetings. Its dual air connectivity, through the José María Córdova and Olaya Herrera airports, allows arrivals from more than 15 countries and 17 Colombian cities, facilitating access for business tourism.

The urban environment fosters ecosystems focused on impactful innovation. The Innovation District houses centers such as Ruta N and the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which promote technological and social development programs. In parallel, the Perpetuo Socorro Creative District brings together cultural industries, design, technology, and entrepreneurship, creating an environment conducive to collective creation and the exchange of knowledge.

The city also fosters collaborative work through more than 130 coworking spaces and hubs like the Comfama Winery, which connect diverse communities, institutions, and sectors. This commitment to shared work and organic networking fosters the development of purposeful joint initiatives.

One of the main distinguishing features is the friendly nature of its business culture. Business relationships are built on trust, openness, and warmth. The local talent stands out for its resilient spirit, entrepreneurial drive, and willingness to engage in dialogue, making it a key asset for investors, entrepreneurs, and event organizers.

Through a dynamic agenda that includes fairs and events such as Colombia Tech Week, Expocamacol, Smart City Expo, and the regional ANDICOM, Medellín continues to strengthen its international presence as a competitive and humane destination for business growth.
