From January 21st to 25th, IFEMA MADRID will hold a new edition of the International Tourism Fair. For the third consecutive year, it will host FITUR 4all, a section dedicated to making tourism an accessible experience for all, developed in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD.
With the aim of providing all people with accessibility needs with adapted tourism offerings, FITUR 4All 2026 is advancing the promotion of global barrier-free tourism, universal tourism models, and the identification and visibility of good accessibility practices with a professional event on January 23rd and a traveler awareness day on Saturday the 24th.
To this end, they are announcing the creation of the second volume of the Guide to Good Practices in Accessible Tourism by Fitur 4all. This new feature will include specific examples of actions that have served to improve accessibility and raise awareness within the sector and society.
In addition, the 3rd FITUR 4all Awards are being held for national and international destinations, companies, and institutions to submit their accessibility projects by December 5, 2025. These projects will be used to develop the "Guide to Good Practices in Accessible Tourism by Fitur 4all." The jury, comprised of experts in tourism, accessibility, and inclusion, will evaluate the project's design and implementation, its potential, its positive impact, consistency, sustainability, and the measures adopted.
The Fitur 4all 2026 Awards will be presented in four categories: Inclusive National Destination, Inclusive International Destination, Inclusive Tourism Company, and Inclusive Organization or Institution. The winners will be announced before the start of FITUR and will be presented at the Fair.
These two projects are born from the shared commitment of IFEMA MADRID and IMPULSA IGUALDAD to foster a more inclusive tourism sector and promote accessible initiatives that contribute to strengthening the quality, diversity, and inclusion of the global tourism industry.
